An attic staircase is one that we usually try
to conceal. Whether behind a door or in a trapdoor, it's purely functional, not aesthetic.
I want to counter this archetype by showing the object for the object's sake. Here, the object becomes a sculpture, something that can be seen and can be a central element in the room.
The "staircase" function is concealed, and it's the sculptural aspect that takes precedence.
160x240 floor surface.
This staircase is therefore primarily a seating module that unfolds vertically.
